It’s Not About Real Estate
It’s About People
Have you ever bought or sold a home, and by the end of
the transaction the Realtor had become a friend who had been there for
you through whole the process? Of course you have. But, consider for a
moment everything you went through to get to that point: First of all
you had to call a Realtor. Most people look forward to doing that about
as much as they like scheduling a dentist appointment or doing their
taxes. Then, after some initial conversation on the phone, you agreed to
meet. You were still a little apprehensive, but you and the Realtor
began to discuss your interest and values, as well as, your hopes and
dreams. At this point, it’s much more about people than it is about real
estate. And then, as time went by, after you’ve been through the entire
transaction, this once unknown person has been transformed into a
friend. What happened? Quite simply, you built a friendship, and it
wasn’t based on real estate knowledge. You don’t call as Realtor a
“friend” just because he knows a lot about mortgage rates or because he
owns a lap top computer. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. It’s because
the Realtor cared about your desires and listened to your wants and
needs. THAT’S the way purchasing or selling, what for most people is
their biggest investment, should be. And, that’s why people say they’re
glad they called Bruce Johnson
